The Stewartville Sportsman's Club (SSC) is a non profit conservation organization dedicated to wildlife and habitat conservation.  Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM.  A meal is served at each meeting.  SSC Board of Directors meetings are held the 4th Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM.

SSC hosts wildlife fund raising events throughout the year including its own Pheasants & Habitat Unlimited (PHU) and Ducks Unlimited (DU). 

  • PHU annual fund raiser is the last Friday in October

  • DU annual fund raiser is the last Friday in April

SSC's annual wild game feed is the 3rd Saturday in January.  You will find a wide variety of fish and game prepared in many different gourmet dishes you will thoroughly enjoy. 

SSC offers a DNR Firearms Safety Training course every spring.  Classes typically begin mid March and runs for four weeks.  See the Safety Training page for more details.  SSC also hosts a snowmobile training course put on by the Drift Skippers Snowmobile Club and an ATV training course.

SSC has a scholarship award program.  Each year SSC awards a scholarship to an area graduating High School Senior.

SSC Sponsors the Stewartville High School Trap Team.  Currently there are over 30 high school students on the trap team.

Trap shooting is open to the general public every Wednesday, from May to September.  Shooting starts at 7:00PM.  Trap shooting is also available on meeting nights during the summer after each monthly meeting.  Members shoot for free on meeting nights.

Other SSC activities include participating in the annual Stewartville Summerfest Celebration.  The club has a food stand at the event and has stocked the local fish pond for the celebration's  youth fishing contest.  SSC also has a food stand at the Spring Creek Moto Cross Races. 

SSC hosts meetings for the local Boy Scout Troop 56.  They meet the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Monday of each month at the club.  SSC has also sponsored Boy Scouts earning their Eagle Scout award. 

SSC hosts Special Youth Challenge (SYC) Spring Turkey Hunting and Fall Deer Hunting events for handicapped youth.

SSC donates the use of the club to POGS (Parents of Graduating Seniors) for their annual fund raiser.  POGS sponsor an all night senior graduation party each year at SSC for the Stewartville High School graduating class.

SSC is also available to rent for your wedding, anniversary, birthday party, business meeting, etc.  See Club Rentals page for details.

Membership dues are $40 annually.  Dues are payable in January of each year.   Anyone interested in becoming a member is invited to attend any meeting.  Visitors are welcome as well.  Any questions regarding SSC can be directed to 507-533-6660.  We will get back to you as soon as possible.
